On behalf of Federación Panamericana e Ibérica de Medicina Crítica y Terapia Intensiva (FEPIMCTI), I have the honour and pleasure to invite you to participate in the 5th Edition of World Day of the Critical Lung, that will be held next December 1st and 2nd 2021.
If respiratory diseases had played a particularly important role in the care of the critically ill up until now, in recent months, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has further highlighted the importance of this organ and the impact of its proper management on more severe patients.
As every year, the Organizing Committee for World Day of the Critical Lung has worked with enthusiasm to be able to offer a high quality scientific program, in which internationally recognized experts will address, from different perspectives, the management of respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, lung infection, advances in mechanical ventilation and its withdrawal, translational medicine and many other aspects, including COVID-19 lung disease.
On this occasion, the event in virtual format, with free access and simultaneous translation (Spanish-English), will allow all attendees uninterrupted access for 24 hours to interactive sessions from different places in the world. The objective of this important scientific event is to provide a global reference framework in which experiences can be shared and scientific evidence disseminated to all interested professionals in this field. We know that the program will meet your expectations and advance your knowledge to offer the best care to our patients.
From FEPIMCTI we invite you to participate in the World Day of the Critical Lung.
Dr. María Cruz Martín Delgado
President of FEPIMCTI
